hi does anyone know how to uninstall and reinstall tcp/ip on win xp? if i cannot uninstall it is there any other solutions... restacking or reinstalling thanks tony

Restore the base TCP/IP files Although you can’t uninstall TCP/IP in Windows XP, you can reinstall all its components and reset registry keys to a clean state.
To do so, type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt.
Note that this step is not as drastic as it sounds and will not tamper with your current network settings.

I had this same problem and above solution didn't work, but I used the System Restore Wizard (what a great feature) for three days ago, when my system still worked, and that solved it no problem.
