Win XP wont even begin to install!! HELP

I downloaded win xp rc2 and extracted to my D: drive when i click on setup then on INSTALL WIN XP nothing happens at all!!(the icon next to it is a green circle whereas the other 2 are blue) I looked in the i386 folder and i cant even find a winnt.exe file..Please help me fix this problem! (i have to install it from the hard disk cuz I dont have a CD-R) thanx

Intel Celeron 650MHz
192 Mb RAM
Compatible Video/Sound Card

I checked everything, all is compatible

you can find winnt.exe by enabling "view all files" from my computer.

then go to dos prompt if you have win98 (pure dos prompt ) and run winnt.exe.

The first problem can be solved by using scandisk your hdd and then reinstalling windows existing version and/or internet explorer version.

if you have windows me then forget it.
use emergency disk of winme to install windows xp
