I recently messed around with the video file associations in win xp such that windows media player would no longer play file types such as .avi, .mpg, .asf, etc. I know what I am doing with regard to associations, so I was able to fix that issue and now all that is back to normal. However, folders that are set to thumbnail view that used to display thumbnail previews for all my videos, no longer load. All I see is the normal icon image the center of the large thumbnail area. I have read posts relating to a similar issue regarding win ME and adjusting the registry. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I did. There is an option about creating custom images for folder icons to remind me of their contents. And, as a matter of fact, the thumbnails of movies within folders appear on the folder icons in thumbnail view. But the individual files do not appear as thumbnails. Isn't that odd? Still need help, thanks.

I changed some File Associations after "correctly" removing CorelDraw9. Now I lost my thumbnail viewings! I have to double click the old fashioned way. I countered some of this by changing my pic file formats to .bmp and can now view SOME of my pics, etc. However, THAT takes a ton of space and time and I'm still wondering WHY I can't view in the old JPG/etc. format? In another interesting happening, I have NEW Folder/file called PSPBRWSE which is paintshoppro related and when I click on THAT I get a MIRROR of the way my system USED to work. I must've done SOMETHING wrong, but can't remember all my steps.
In addition...My Windows application is CRAWLING. Any IDEAS OUT THERE?
