I've just installed XP and after restart I tried to log on but I get the message "The specified domain either does not exisit or could not be contacted". I've only created one user but it never asked me for a password for that user. User administrator does not work either. XP was instaled as an upgrade to Win Me. Thanks for any help, have a nice weekend.

I had the same problem, and when I installed it again it asked me a lot more questions then the first time, like network settings etc. SO i'd say.. try it again, a full clean install.
