Is there a computer account on the domain? I have seen this only when you are creating accounts in a domain, once created, subsequent logins are quite fast.

If you are NOT an administrator, then it may be looking for the computer account, not finding one, and continuing on with user login. If you ARE an administrator, go to the server and see if your computer is listed, if it isn't, create a computer account from there and try it again.

good luck.
George

Try poking around in your Event Viewer to see if you have Service errors as well.....
