I have another instance of the same operating system on the same laptop, which I can run in Normal mode. Will the problem be solved if I copy some files from the new instance of the operating system? If so, can you please suggest me the file(s) / folder(s) names? I am in very urgent need of that.

Check the event viewer and see what might be causing the corruption. In most cases when the operating system can be run in safe mode but not regular it is because of a driver or hardware issue. If that helps you any. So you might want to make sure that all drivers are updated to see if that clears the problem!
