Hello and thanks for any help.
To make this short I guess my questions are: (1) How do I get rid of Purity Scan. (2) Where do I find the winservs.exe files and how do I delete them (I think this has something to do with Purity Scan.) (3) Any other things I may need to go through and delete, Log Files, Trackers, Cache Files Etc. Please continue reading to get more information on this problem.

I have recently been plagued with pop-up after pop-up and they will even come up if I don't have my browser open. Example: I could just be on my desktop doing nothing and no programs open and all of the sudden a pop-up will come up.
After looking into this I found out that Gator and other programs like this is causing my grief and slow system. I found out about Ad-Aware 6.0 and Installed it, I ran it and sure enough I had gator and other programs listed that it found that I have NEVER downloaded Total of 17. Well I deleted them and although I don't get as many pop-ups anymore they still come up. So I ran ad-aware again and it keeps detecting this Purity Scan, so I delete it but no matter how many times I delete it, it still comes back. I looked into this "Purity Scan" and found out that I need to delete a file called winservs.exe but I need to know if I need to do any other steps and where would I find this winservs.exe file? Log files, Cache files etc. Also after running Ad-Aware 6.0 and deleting the things it finds, restarting my computer takes FOREVER to get back to the desktop. Sometimes it just stalls out. Also is there anything else I may need to look for?
Thanks SO MUCH for anyones help. This is the system that I am using if it helps any:

AMD Athlon XP 1900+ (1.6ghz)
512MB PC 2100 DDR Ram
Windows XP Home Edition
GeForce 3 Ti 500
Audigy Gamer Sound Card
56k Modem (US Robotics Performance Pro V.92)

I've never heard of Purity Scan, but if you say that it's executable is called winservs.exe, then just go to start and choose search. Select where you want to search (C or D drive, whatever you have), and have it search for winservs.exe. Just having the executable on your system wouldn't start it up though, it would have to be started by some other means, other than just existing on you system. However, getting rid of every instance of the executable, should do the trick. Getting rid of log files is up to you, there is no need to keep them, but they will not cause pop-ups on your machine. As annoying as pop-ups are, with out them, many of the programs we use free of charge, wouldn't be free with out them. Believe me, I'm not saying I like them or welcome them, just that there is an ounce of good that does come from the millon pounds of annoyance they cause. You should also run the msconfig command, and check to see what is under your startup tab that may be slowing your boot time. You may have unknowingly (is that even a word) setup add-aware to run after each reboot.

Ok I found lots of information on this "Purity Scan" thing. I found the winservs.exe file but there is also a winservs file. Do I need to delete both of them or just one? I don't want to delete anything that will screw my system up =( can anyone help?

One suggested removal procedure: Press Ctrl-Alt-Del once to bring up the End Task dialogue. Highlight "WINSERVS" or "WINSERVN" and select End Task. (It may take a few moments for a "not responding" warning to appear. Press End Task again.)

Now remove WINSERVS.EXE or WINSERVN from your StartUp folder. This can be done by going to Start > Settings > Taskbar, and clicking on the Start Menu tab.

Select "Remove". Find the StartUp folder on the list that appears, select it if necessary, and delete the WINSERVS or WINSERVN entry that appears there.

Hope this helps.
