I'm having a problems when windows starts.I get all the icons on the screen and stuff, but when I try to activate internet or open some program then I have to wait about 30 seconds or so.during this I can delete documents and open folders but programs won't work.Had same problem with previous PC(totally different so no hardware issues possible)).Friend is using the XP too,but no similiar problems.

i had a similar problem, could be an interrupt error, or open handle problem. When making context switches there is glitch and windows halts and therefore does not allow proper information to be switched in and out of the critical region..hence the problem.....you are unable to open applications
