Greetings to everyone.

The problem that has come up lately
is that when I change CD or DVD on the CD or
the DVD reader, win xp does not see the change
and I keep browsing on the CD or DVD that was
firstly placed on the computer.I mean that
Windows do not refresh the reading devices
and I am still seeing the contents of the CD
that was firstly read on the boot of windows
allthough I have placed another CD on the reader.
What might be the problem ?

Thanks in advance.

If you keep the window open, this will happen even with floppy disks. To refresh either close the window showing the cd contents and re-open or press the F5 key on the keyboard while the window is open to force a refresh.

I don`t keep the same window open.
I boot the PC with a CD or DVD on the reader
device and when I insert another disc and I try to browse it Windows XP do not see the new disc and it shows the contents of the first cd i have on boot.I didn`t said that thast I had the same window opened.

Thanks for the help anyway.
Make another try.
