CPU/Ram: AMD K6 300 Mhz 64 Mb RAM

Hiya peeps i have this laptop it only has 64 ram windows xp runs okish i am wondering it is possiable to config windows to run a little better without upgradeing the ram as i am saveing to buy a brand new lappy.

Ram is the best choice. Win98 might be a better choice.

Yes, there are some things. Might alread be some web pages devoted to getting XP to run faster. I'd start with stopping almost every service. Use performance setting to select best performance. Set a single size for swap file. Use defrag often. Use msconfig to stop all start up stuff that you don't need. Might be many other ways.
