Ok. Thanks Guys. Here I am now tried all your helpful suggestions and with all the harware troubleshooting, Bios resets etc... so far.... I tried and also removed the NAT, RIP, OSPF vs 1 and.or 2, IGMP etc and tried using only Static router on the Windows 2000 ADS configured as DHCP server.
Setup Looked This Way:
Windows 2000 ADS running IIS, DHCP Router with the 192.168.0.1 ip addresses. And other machines work and connect to it and to internet just fine.
This other machine that is giving trouble ..a barebone, AMD 450 k6 3, 256MB, VIA Chipset MB, ATI VGA, 3Com 10/100 NIC, WD HD, Sony CD RW, Toshiba DVD Drive, IDE 120MB Superdiskette Drive... now runs pretty well on it's own no probs at all. OK, I disconnected/unplugged and shut down the DHCP server from the connecting hub...and can log into this machine and worgroup..but now a Domain just perfect..
Problem:Ok, now once I plugged in this Windows XP Pro on it's own into any type of HUB (currently I have three different types that I tried).... it freezes instantly. Does it not like connecting to a hub or what?
Something gotta have come up with this solution..I hope to share the information as soon as it's we find it out. Has anyone seen this this or heard of it at all..Help is indeed needed ASAP. Thanks.

I currently have 2 Cable/DSL Routers daisy chained to each other. One serves as a main router, and the other,(wireless) serves as a simple network hub. They are connected using the Uplink ports on the back of each. Works like a charm, and the wireless network capability is a sure plus.
So your're saying XP hangs when it's on just the HUB itself, not linked to any other HUB or router? I'm guessing what's going on is that after switching over to the network hub, it confuses your NIC and reverts back to the default IP number, 162.XXX.XXX.XXX. However, this really should not cause XP to hang up, as I just went through a similar instance.
Try booting up XP with the hub, and going into Safe Mode with Network support. Then open a shell and type IPCONFIG/ALL examine your network status. Then run the Network Setup Wizard, and on the 1st pop-up, select the Other option, then on the pop-up that follows select the option that allows you to do networking through a Hub.
The only other thing that I can imagine, is that the drivers for the nic are not the original mfg drivers. XP likes to use the Realtek drivers (which i'm not very particulary about using). I have an AOpen Nic and XP by default uses Realtek, after the XP install. I used the drivers that came with the NIC.
Good luck!

Thanks Everyone!
I just resolved the probs. Simple thou but TUFF too! NIC Cards worked only in Slot 1 the number 1 PCI Slot on this Motherboard when Windows XP Pro is loaded.
Now I'd have to figure out how the other TV Cards, DVD Cards that stayed in this slot would fit into this scenario..Uh lala..more fun :-) yep
This is one simplest and then strangest that I have seen recently.
Once again thanks Guyzz see ya.
