Hi,
My company recently bought a new computer with windows 98. It was setup with the domain and all, but then upgraded to win XP. The server runs windows 2000 server, and all the other computers win98 except this. To have access to the servers, I need to login to the domain. When I try to join the computer to the domain, it says that it cant find it or that it might be invalid. Any ideas? My PC is connected to internet and has network access to some computers but not the server. I enabled NETBEUI also. Plz help.

We had this problem with one our computers. For some reason, the only way we could get it on the domain was to typ in the FQDN of the server. We also had to put our credentials in that way as well. For example:
Domain: server.subdomain.domain.com
Using the credentials: USER@domain.com OR server.subdomain.domain.com/USER
That was the only way we could get it on the domain.
