Hi All, I'm trying to elp a friend fix their computer, but I don't have the 5 recovery dics that she was supposed to make when she first got her PC :-( Is there anyway to use another system recovery disk for Win XP Home Edition instead of the 5 disk it asks gor on her E-machine? Thanks in advance...

I doubt anyone will want to give up their ONE chance to Make their restore Disks just because she neglected to make her own.

You should be able to restore the Computer using the hidden Partition that holds the Software the Restore CDs are made from.

Contact eMachine support for instructions for Restoring from the Hidden Partition and creating the Restore CDs once it's running again.

Restoring the OS either way will cost your friend all her documents and any Software installed that is NOT ORIGINAL to the machine.

Better if you Post the Problem/Problems here and let someone help you sort out what's wrong. A full Restore may be unnecessary.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
