Hello people,

I've got a strange problem (I think).
I've got a network with 2 computers (Xp home and 98), when i try to look at the win 98 computer xp crashes.
the win 98 computer hasn't got that problem.
So what can be wrong?

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

John

If you ran the network wizard on XP to connect to win98 you cant really do that if your netbios is not enabled on xp and your frame type is not set to 802.3 on both then well hey. If all your protocalls are set right well then Im just gonna shut up about this cause I have no idea. Ive networked 98 to xp and had crashing problems untill I set the protocalls right. good luck.

Thanks for quick reply, I ran the network wizard but unfortunately it didn't came up with the right result.
Both computers can be "pinged" and see each other without problems, BUT XP hangs when I use the network to explore the win 98 comp.
Strangely win xp also hangs when i try to explore the same comp via the network...

Any suggestions are welcome...

John
