Hi all, i have just invested in a tv card (hauppauge model win nova usb) and it states on the box that its not for xp, so i went home got on the net and it says it is, so i went back and bought it, i tried to install it after downloading the installation software and driver direct from the web site thinking it would be best as it would install correctly on a win xp os. i got as far as a message from XP saying that this installation has not passed windows XP LOGO TEST and installation cannot continue, and from past expierence with Xp's ability to choose software it doesnt like at the drop of a hat, i know there is no problem with this hardware, its just this logo test rubbish that is causing the problem. is there anyway to bi pass this crap and just install the hardware so i can get going. I have sent a mail seeking support but also have found much more support from you guys out there in the past and not for software companies i find i am waiting for ages for a reply because they have my money now and thats all they want. any advice at all is greatly received. regards conor.

if you have NT drivers they should work OK. You can install at your own risk the drivers if you want go to System Properties/Digital Signature and choose something different from Block installation of unsigned drivers ( ask me what to do or install without checking the signature)

the prompt doesn't say that it can't continue...it asks if you want to continue anyway.
that logo test thing is just another way for microsoft to get money...most of the stuff i've bought have a section in the manual saying to just ignore the prompt
