I have noticed that when I shut down my computer for the nite and turn it on the next morning I always have too turn on the XP firewall.
What is happening from the time I turn the computer off until I turn it on in the morning, that I have to go in and turn on the firewall??

Are your critical up-dates done? Use Adaware or Spybot S&D. Make sure they are up-dated before you scan.
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

I don't know if i would put my trust in windows firewall,It is not the best for security. I would try either Sygate or Kerio ..

Thank you all the replies. I use spyware blaster. It ia on all the time and I check it daily for any updates. In that I am on the internet a good part of the day, this baby gets a scan with Ad-Aware about every 3 days. After checking for updates. I also have updated ZoneAlarm, on and working. Just curious about the XP firewall shutting off.
Taank you again

I have never heard that this really would happen, but it could be shutting off since you also have Zone Alarm. Using two firewalls at the same time may make them conflict, and render your computer unprotected.
