Comment: while im installing winxp on my computer, i get this fatal blue screen error "ntfs.sys" and other times "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal." if anyone can help me narrow down the problem that would be great. im positive that the problem is either my hard drive or my motherboard and cpu.

Reply: (edit)Nope that's not the Cd-rom fault. I've got this error and have found with microsoft dev team the prob. If it's the same problem than me your not able to install big things from cd-rom like game too. try this. Type in run msconfig try to find where to set your max memory to 16 megs. reboot and try to install something big..... gonna be a little more sloly but it supposed to install it. If all is ok then your memory chip are burn. We have found that winXp if you have 2 or more memory chips if 1 is burn then Win xp will not install and causing an error. driver_irql_not_less_or_equal is the same error that i've got. and now everythings is good for me. Maybe this will help ya.
