Win Xp Downgrade to Win98SE

I need help downgrading from windows xp to windows 98 SE. I tried to run setup.exe from the XP environment but it said windows 98 cannot be installed from this OS and to please re-boot into ms-dos but windows xp doesn't have it. I have a broken floppy drive so i cant use boot disks. Can somebody plz help me?

switch to cdrom boot by pressing F11 or what ever it is then insert winxp cd in. format and restart

Or you could always buy a new floppy drive.. they are very cheap you know.. you can get one for less than $10.. get 98 boot disk.. or partition magic.. Format the partition (fat32).. then make sure your bios is set to boot off cd first.. insert 98 install disk.. follow what it says.

My win98se cd allows me to do everything including partition and format the drive. Just change the boot up to have the cd rom boot first.

Ok guys, thanks for your help. Im thinking about just buying a new floppy drive, but I used to think they are worthless but now i wish i had it! Im gonna try to boot from cd and stuff. Thanks again
