Comment:
Have epox mb with raid mirroring. Upgraded to XP from 2000, and now XP does not detect the cd-rom. The boot sequence finds it and the other half of my dual boot finds it. Any ideas?

Click start, right click on my computer, to properties>hardware>device manager and see if the computer is seeing your cd-rom. If you see it, highlight it or right click on it (can't remember which) and see if there are any instructions to bring it forward. jw

Do you have incompatibel CD Burning apps?
Try upgrading the apps or if you have removed the CD Burning software, the following registry keys need to be deleted:
Locate and delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values under the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
