win xp computer freezes when watching streami

Specs: Windows XP SP3, AMD Athlon 64x2/4GB
I have a Win XP SP3 computer w/2 SATA HD-s in RAID-0 configuration on which the OS is mounted, 1 SATA drive used for backups & 4 GB system memory. From some time the computer started freezing when I watch streaming video - a movie or a Skype video cession. After reboot the computer sometimes recognizes the RAID as healthy but says 'NTLDR missing', sometimes warns of a problem with the RAID, and after a lot of reboots sometimes manages to load the OS normally.
Any ideas?

NTLDR is a critical file required to start loading the OS, and those error messages are not a good sign. You might want to re copy over the NTLDR again.

Ask and Answer. The way of learning.
But first ask the right way.

Type sfc /scannow in the Run box and see if this replaces the file and cures the issue.

If not go to:
You should find NTLDR there.

Copy it over to C:\Windows\i386

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
