If you are having problems with Software or Hardware that won't work with XP, the first place that you should check is Microsofts Windows Catalog. Click on either Software or Hardware and when the window opens check the list on the left hand side. Find what you are having problems with and check out the compatibility list.
If it's not listed it isn't compatible with XP.

Go here folks:

If you read carefully, you will see that Microsoft says there are thousands of other products that are compatible with XP. Their list is of those products that have been submitted by manufacturers as being compatible, or have been tested and approved by Microsoft. It's still best to go to the manufacturer's website to get the whole story.

If there are no Windows XP drivers, check out if there are Windows 2000 drivers and try these - at least if there are Windows 2000 drivers there is a chance there is continuing support for the hardware from the manufacturer and XP drivers could be on their way.

In most cases, Windows 2000 drivers will work with XP but not all (Hewlett Packard HP P1000 Photosmart is an example of this).
