Comment: XP boots up, you logon normally and then you get the background wallpaper; but that’s all you get just the wallpaper no ICONS or START button. I have tried a few things but nothing works that does include a SYSTEM Restore from Safe Mode, Restore from the Windows Console and I even tried a reinstall from the Windows CD, and this nothing. Please note that once I did the reinstall windows just keeps rebooting over and over again. This is not the Frist system with this problem; this is now the 3rd system. I have spoken to other in the Tech field, and they think as I do that this is a new Virus. The only thing that was loaded on the first system was an update from Adobe; for Flash. AS for the other I am unsure. Anyone please Help. Gil Roman

Reply: (edit)Can you open the task manager via CTRL+SHIFT+ESC ? If yes, go to file / new task and type in explore.exe Does this start the desktop as it was?
