Subject: Win xp Blue screen cant reinstall OS: Win xpCPU/Ram: 512+256Model/Manufacturer: Dell 2400 |
Comment: My daughter was downloading updates from Microsoft for her Dell 2400 win xp and part way into the the downloading her computer started acting strange so she restarted it and and when it came back up it had the blue screen. She cant get it to do anything. She event tried to resinstall her win xp but after she chooses to reinstall all seh gets is the blue screen. Any idea's or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sue

Reply: (edit)The blue screen of death. Try this: restart the computer and immediately start toggling the F8 key to see if the start-up screen will come up. if it does then choose to restore to an earlier date and see if it responds. Reply: (edit)Ive tried restoring to an earlier date, but it wont let me, I tried restoring to a good configuration but it wont let me do that either. I even tried to format it but it denied me that as well. When I go into safe mode it takes me right back to that blue screen. I now have a error code. NTFS.
