Hello,
has anyone had problems deleting .avi files from their Win XP systems? It happens to me, has happened to friends, and I've read several posts here about it. When you attempt to delete an .AVI file {I think you need to open it at least once previously} you get the error about the file being in use by another person or program. Now I have not had any other people or programs accessing the file at the time of deletion "attempt" and always get this error. The only method I have found that will get rid of the file is using Wipe Info from Norton SystemWorks. Anyone have any ideas of why these particular .avi files cannot be deleted? No virus/trojan infections or corrupt disk sectors or anything like that. thanks.

I've been playing with avi files for awhile...I've got that problem when I don't close the application I was using, even I closed the file.
You can try restarting the computer.
