OK, heres the setup. Win 2000 machine port 1 of hub, this machine does the dial (connection sharing is checked). Laptop with XP connected on port 2. I have file and print sharing on both on and have mapped the drives on both. I can get files from xp on my 2000 machine, but I can not pull files or surf on my XP machine. I have set XP up as a broadband connection, dialup, bridged network with 2000 and I still can not surf! When trying to get files from my 2000 machine on my laptop its says access not permitted. One time it came up and asked me to log on to my 2000 machine for file sharing then the next time it says no access again. If anyone else is having this problem or know how to correct it please leave a post or email me. Thanks, Jeremiah

I had a simular problem using LapLink. The only way I could overcome the problem was to set up a pretend LAN between the two machines. Also have you setup your HDD to be shared? Go to your HD in My Computer so there is a hand underneath the drive icon. Right click the drive then go to the share tab. Pick how you want to share and press the OK or simular and the hand should appear under your drive icon. If this does not work set up a LAN by using your "My Network Places"
