I would like to set up a network for a small business mostly for financial & inventory info from Quickbooks. I'd like to do it wirelessly if possible. The notebook has wifi & bluetooth but the desktop is ancient. What will I have to add and also can I do this using the WINXP network tool? Thanks! - Aaron

Depends on how you define "ancient". Is it running Windows 98? 95? If you're on at least 98 - you should be ok. It may be a little trickier networking a 98 machine with an XP machine, but it normally works. I'm pretty sure I've used the Windows XP networking tool (cd) on a 98 machine as well.
If you have a cable modem and plan on sharing internet access as well as networking, I'd just get a regular network card - pop it in the 'ancient' machine...get a wireless-router...and plug the 98 machine into the router.
Just give us a few more details if at all possible!

Remember that Quickbooks requires a multiuser license. I have no experience with the multiuser environment but would venture a guess that you will need to conform.
