Comment:

I recently formatted my hard drive and installed Win XP Home. Everything works fine but when I click on the start menu it lags. When I go to start-all program and leave this up and click away it closes slow. It really hard to explain but hope someone understands what I am talking about.

there are registry settings that you can change. by default, i think XP puts a delay for when the start menu. Also, when closing windows or when things disappear from your screen, XP by default will fade it out of view slowly.
