Recently my Windows Explorer 6.0 keeps crashing randomly, often it happens when I open a picture to view it. The error report basically says it's a compatability problem, everything disappears from the desktop and returns after a few secs. Any ideas anyone?

I used to have that problem as well. It happened when I tried to view thumbnail images from my DV videos. I can't really remember how I fixed it. I think it had to do with a corrupt .DLL file. Can't really say much more than that. Sorry.

djwolf: spyware has been causing win explorer crashes lately; try a scan using Spybot Search & Destroy.
