Download dvdgenie at www.inmatrix.com. It is a free utility that will allow you to change the region code as many times as you like.

i tried and it doesnt work i followed all th instructions and i still cant do it.. on the page it tells you to do this :-

There is a way of resetting the region counter to two choices left after every reboot, but requires manually modifying the registry:
Load RegEdit and go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft].
You should see a random looking random letter key (e.g. " d-`%" ").
If you have a region set, inside this key there is one REG_QWORD value, delete the data that it contains, do not delete this key.
Export the key and save it to C:\Windows (or another such folder)
Create a shortcut in your start menu startup folder that says the following:
regedit.exe /s c:\windows\regfile.reg

ive followed them instructions and i cant find the random looking random key as it says, maybee im not looking correctly but i have used the find facillity.. anymore help is appreciated Thanks..Antony

Doing a search on a random key won't work :) Use regedit to go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft] and then look for an odd-looking key consisting of random symbols and stuff. That's the one it's talking about.

The other thing is - most DVD drives are region-locked after x many changes (usually 5) - you want to be careful with mucking around too much, or you might accidentally lock it into a region you don't want.

One thing you might want to do is to look up your dvd-rom drive model and look here to see if you can make it region-free:

Also just search for 'dvd region free' in google. Heaps of info online.
