Hi,
I have Xp in one of my boxes on C:\ . I want to dual boot it with Win 98/2000 in any other drive without disturbing the xp installation. the reverse i'v done before, but trying this seems a bit risky (as a few programs on xp can't be uninstalled - the data cannot be lost). how to go about it, preferably without a third party boot loader? I remember coming across scripts on bootdisk.com, enabling the above, a few years ago, but can't find them now. Its urgent.

Thanks

Naveen

Is the XP in a FAT32 or NTFS partition?
If it's fat then www.dougknox.com has instructions for installing 98/me after XP without third party bootloaders.
As for 2k ? Well it is an NT based system so you should be able to instal it in another partition and if necessary manually add it to the boot.ini file without disturbing XP.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

If you really don't want to disturb your XP installation unplug it and install 98/2000 dual boot on another hard drive then plug the XP back in and switch back and forth between them in the bios.
