I get this error when I try to install a program called Bitrate Viewer.

Application: ISSET_SE
"The Win 16 Subsystem has insufficient resources to continue running. Click on OK, close your applications and restart you machine."
I think it's because it an old installer, maybe 16-bit, the icon is a picture of a computer with a box of floppy disk (like those in Windows 98).
I looked in task manager, I have 1 GB available memory. The process looks like is named wowexec.exe, I have end the process since it's not going away.

Go to the \Windows folder and copy _default.pif to your desktop.

Rename _default.pif to something else, just keep the .pif extension.

Right click on it, go to the Program Tab, and in the command line field type in the path to the file that you are trying to run. Example: C:\Program Files\program.exe
of course substitute program.exe

Then go to the Memory tab, Change Expanded Memory to the maximum setting, as well as the Extended Memory to the maximum setting, click apply, then ok.

Double-click on the .pif file to run, and hopefully it works.

No it didn't work but thanks. I'll just do without that program.
