i was looking for a windows XP upgrade disc, and found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3619448944&category=4619 it says for Dell pc's only, but, will it install on my computer? I built my computer myself from various parts, nothing in it is Dell. (also, the auction says it has no COA etc, the stickers containing these can be bought legally seperatley on ebay)

Lets see... It says DELL ONLY so I would say no.
Also I personally think you are foolish for buying XP from Ebay. You are almost sure to have problems and equally sure to have no recourse.
BTW it is now illegal to sell media without the COA. I don't care what the crooked vendor tells you, it is illegal.

I had a similar problem I bought a Fuj-Siemens comp. with Xp preinst. I tried to install it on my old comp. worked fine BUT I had to activate it. MS could not do it, as it was an OEM-version.
