I can..didnt think of that. Do you really think that will fix this? I am starting to get worried. I finally got safe mode to load, but still the same..system restore pulls up a white screen.

Leisanc0923,
Try the possible fixes at the links below.

System Restore opens to a blank window?
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/srblank.htm

Several dialog boxes are blank
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=...

Many times reregistering the Jscript.dll file corrects the problem.

Leisanc0923,
You're mis-spelling the file names

It should be:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Note that there is a space after regsvr32 and the file name.

Try it again,

Tufenuf

I cannot download what you are giving me. I have no clue to what the crap is going on. I cannot even start the download. ok better example.....I play games at pogo. I can load the page with the "game rooms" on them...I cant load the room. I cannot do a system restore because the screen is blank. I went to ask.com to post another issue...I could not post. I am about to have a melt down.....;(

Leisanc0923, Open Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer).

Start>Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer and drill down to the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder and open it. See if there's a copy of the jscript.dll file there and let us know.

Leisanc0923, Go into your Control Panel and open Folder Options. Under the View tab select "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files etc." click Apply/OK. Now drill down to the C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache folder and open it. If you find the jscript.dll file right click it and choose "Copy" and close that folder. Now open the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder and open it and in an empty space in rhe right pane right click and choose "Paste", After doing this see if your System Restore, Search, and Help and Support work. If they don't click Start>Run and copy & paste or type in:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

Click OK

Restart your computer and see if anything is fixed,

Note: Something is weird that those JSCRIPT(2) and JSCRIPT(4)... files are in the System32 folder and don't have a .dll extension.

the file is located in C:\Program Files\Camtech\System Restore Control\SysRest.exe

try this:

Start > run > write cmd, press enter> write cd C:\Program Files\Camtech\System Restore Control , press enter

write SysRest.exe > press enter

the program should open, assuming you didn`t change it`s location
