Will not print black text

I have a Canon i965 printer and when i print a document in XP Home excel the black text does not come out. I can print the same text in colour and its fine. I printed the same text in Wordpad with the same results. I then connected the printer to a PC with Win98 and it works fine. Assistance would be appreciated.

Have you set the print colour in the Excel cells to white by any chance. If it prints on another setup then the problem probably lies with the way you have set up your worksheet... especially if you are using colours.
Summary: I have been having some problems with my printers not printing black. I recently had a Xerox workcenter m940 for about 2 years and it was working fine until a few months ago it stopped printing black....
