I won't waste the $ on XP with this PC.
XP will work well if you have a 300MHz or faster CPU and 256~512 MB Ram.

Your PC will likely need a BIOS update to handle XP.
Plus older S/W like Easy CD v/3 or 4 will not work with XP.

Just for your own curiousity you can go to PC Pitstop and run the online test to see if your PC will handle XP.

I should be clearer than that. I should say, the problem isn't installation, it's the speed at which a machine like that will run.

I have seen XP Pro running well on a 400 mhz, 128mb ram machine. It's a matter of knowing what you need to do to optimize the OS.

It will run but it will be very slughish due to the fact you only have 128megs of memory. So if you do not mind things taking a few mins to open then go for it but you are better off with 98SE in my opinion.
