This is for my dad's computer. I am giving him my MOBO and Processor to upgrade his computer some. What worries me is the PSU that he has. Here is what we are working with: AMD Phenom X4 BE 9600 2.3Ghz. Kingston 4GB RAM. Win XP Home 32bit (Yes I know it will only see about 3 GB but he doesn't care lol) ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe Mem-Pipe ed MOBO Allied 300W PSU (AL B300ATX Mod No)
What I am worried about is will that PSU be able to hold up that set up. I am gun shy cause I have read some bad stuff on Allied. I am leaning towards getting him something a little better while still being decently cheap. Around $50. I have found a couple Single Rail PSU's that I like but I would like a second opinion as to whether or not it would survive and not Fry the MOBO, CPU, and everything in between like he has had happen before.
