Ok, here's the deal. Something is astray in my system. I recently built a new system, and I can "hear" something in both the tower, and my speakers. I used the onboard soundcard (SOLTEK's SL-K8TPRO-939) and I could hear computing. I'm not sure if it's the video card or the processor, but it's mainly when scrolling down webpages or activities like that. Scratchy almost. So I changed the soundcard (only item I could replace b/c of availability) to a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, and the sounds went away for the most part as far as the headphones went, system still makes the noise. Now, I was playing SoF2, minimized it, and I can slightly hear the louder sounds in the game, like shotgun blasts, very slightly, but noticeably in the headphones as scratchy versions of the sounds. What I'm wondering, what component should I test next? I have all the updated drivers for all components in my system. Please help, I really don't want to kick my system. heh

Just a thought---Are you using a third party pop up blocker? Many of them make a sound when they block a pop up.

Have you tried changing out your speakers or headphones?

this could be a long shot but do you have anything electrical around your computer. sometimes that can give a little static interference mostly resulting in waves on your monitor or scratchy sounding noises when you move the mouse or change screens on your monitor. You might also want to check to see if your sound card has the latest drivers as well. hope this helps
