In my computer there's a folder called c:\Program Files\xerox
What does this folder do or why is it there? Any idees?

It doesn't do anything. It is there just in case you ever decide to install any Xerox software. Microsoft have decided to save you the trouble of having to create a Xerox folder, by having it there by default.

Ok, thanks.
But if the folder isn't in use (I haven't anything from xerox install) why can't I delete it? Inside the xerox folder there's another folder named nwwia that is in "use by another program".

...from another HELP board:...

REPLY:Phenomenon When the Windows XP is installed, the \xerox\nwwia folder is drawn up to the systemdrive \Program Files subordinate. Circumstance This operation is specification of Windows XP. Details The \xerox\nwwia folder from the XEROX Corporation way the WIA which is offered (the WindowsImage Acquisition) is prepared in order to utilize the ネットワークスキャナ of correspondence. In addition, because it is the folder which is protected by the system, it is not possible to delete. I got this info by using the altavista/babel fish translator to translate the webpage on this URL (http://www.microsoft.com/JAPAN/support/kb/articles/j070/0/25.asp) from japanese to english. ++++++++++ In conclusion, you can't do a thing to these folders becuase they are protected by the system. Nice... I guess we'll just have to live with it, what a piece of crap.
My NOTE: You can DELETE in SAFE MODE, but it will recreate on next BOOT.
It is a READ ONLY file.
