I never had so many pop-ups before. Do I have a virus? If so, does anyone know the file name and how to get rid of it? Thanks!

Several reasons:
First, go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, and scroll down to Messenger. Click on properties, change startup type to disabled. That will stop a lot.
Second get a good popup stopper. Search on google. POW from analogx.com is a good one and it's free, as many are.
Download the google tool bar from www.google.com, and put it on your IE page. It has a built in pop stopper.
If you want to go big time, spend a lot of money and get something like Norton Security 2004. That will further stop them.
I never (well, almost never) get one.

http://lavasoft.element5.com/software/adaware/
follow that link to a site to download Ad-Aware version 6. its is the best ans easiest ive come accross and its free. remember to update it regularly in order to get maximum protection against the lastest ad-bots.

i don't use ie for that reason
i use 'crazybrowser'
go to website and check it out
it has a popup blocker built in

NoAds is a small freeware popup program which I use and I find it extremely efficient. You just have to add the popups as they appear to NoAds and after a week or so you will find that they will have almost completely disappeared. Once in a while you will get a glimpse of one being removed.
