I use my laptop with PowerDVD to watch DVD movies. Before I can keep watch DVD movies over 3 - 4 hours ( plugged into power line )on the laptop without any problem. From last week, my laptop only can play around half hours DVD movies, then screen freeze and stop play DVD, sametime I heard little noise of mechine. I can not turn off PC from START buttom, I need manual push on/off buttom to turn off PC. Waiting for over half hours, I can turn on again to use. I think it is maybe power over heat. But while I not use for Play DVD movies, I can use this laptop as long as I can, no over heat problem. Is there any way to fix this problem ?

Take out the battery and unplug the ac adapter. Hold down the power button on the pc two minutes...time it. Yes with no battery in or no adapter attached. Make sure nothing else is attached such as printers any other devices.
Then plug in only the ac adapter and try to start it again. See if you have the same issue.
