Why jpeg pictures are saved as bmp

Hi, Sometimes I click on a picture on a web site, and when I look in the address field of my web browser, I can see that the filename of the picture is a gif or jpeg. But when I right click on the picture and choose "Save picture As"...the picture is a bmp file!

PLS BACKUP UR REGISTRY BEFORE YOU TRY THESE STEPS: =========================================== Open the registry editor and go to the following key >>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-MICROSOFT-SHARED TOOLS-GRAPHICS FILTERS-EXPORT-JPEG >>Right click on the EXTENSIONS value and choose modify. change the VALUE DATA to JPG >>This value may already have a value of "jpg, jpeg" - this will not work and must be changed >>Click the OK button.
