Well, to my amazement it was harder that I thought to reformatt HD. I stuck windows xp disk in let it boot from there.then when the screen comes on to delete partitions or repair or install disk. I cant repair it wonlt let me. can t delete the partitions for it doesn't see the HD hooked up. Then I tried using the sata control disk for the IT person had me do. buy windows doesn't reconize that either. if you can help me out that would be great. not sure what I am doing wrong and it got my IT guy stumped for he just quite on the whole thing. So, I decided to takle it. but no help.

Sata came out long after XP was released

You have to do one of two things;

1. slipstream the sata/raid drivers into a xp cd with nlite
2. add the drivers via floppy disk by hitting F6 when you see it in the lower left of the install screen.
