July 19, 2016 at 02:08:11
Specs: Windows xp
don't know why my computer shuts off after about 2minutes but notice that when I turn it back on it will shut off in a shorter period of time, have to do a windows repair/restore so cant make it too the windows login screen.

My Computer Is a ASUS Running windows xp
Checked The power supply and mother board Fans are working normally
(did notice that the mother board fan had quite a bit of dust build up but cleaned now)
So any information that could solve my problem would be much appreciated

Hello,

Mother board fan - Did you mean for chasis fan or processor fan?

Dust will definitely slow down the performance of the pc, which inturn cause overheating which leads to occasional shut downs, can you please enter into your BIOS at startup and check your CPU temp?

The power supply and mother board Fans are working normally

This doesn't mean the PSU is good, may be it did not provide enough volt to the MB.

Regards
