Hi, what is the difference between "WHQL Certified*" and "WHQL Candidate". And what are the dangers of running "Not digitally signed" drivers. One more question why are some of Nvidia drivers not digitally signed.

Thanks,

Jim

i'm guessing certified have been checked by micrsoft as bug free, and candidate are waiting for the all clear.

some nvidia releases have minor bugs, so they don't get whql certified, where as others do.

there are no dangers if the drivers are from a trusted sorce and are not described as beta. beta releases often have bugs in them.

if you make a restore point just before you install the new drivers, you can always go back to the old ones if there is a problem.
