After booting from CD
First of all xppro cd will start copying some files to pc for enabling installation process
But why I am always facing same problem cannot some files
please press enter to retry
or skip the file (windows will not work properly if you skip the file)
f3 exit...but some files can retry & some cannot retry at all
or sometimes the bluescreen comes up I hate this blue screenAnd also before all this when selecting partition to install
it could tell me this partition is in what format & sometime does NTFS or Fat32
I tried to format to NTFS but formatiing some says your disk have error & sometimes ok
orsometime says windows have done some mantainence to your disk please restart
enabling install.Note this is not first time installtion before I was using xp on same partitiion:
But everytime installing xp from beginning step almost take full day why xp is so trouble
933Mhz
128mbram
IBM two disks 40gb & 30gbThanks all for reading this

clean your cd, or change cd rom, if cd is clean, then cd rom is starting to fail, also if you are overclocking, will cause this problem also, K

boot from xp cd, delete partition, then create a new one, around 10 gig will do, create all other partitions, format using fat32 for most home use, install win xp on c partition, should format with no error, if there are errors change hdd

what means overclocking??
Second my hardrive just new bought few weeks
ago.Do I need to create all the partitions before
intalling or just C: is enough
& left the other 20gb unpartition

oh just setting the bios clocks to run everything faster, but if you havn't touched the bios dont worry about this, just cause its new doesnt mean its not faulty and yes create all partitions, then choose where you want to install xp ie c once xp is insatalled you can format all other partitions, most new hdd have at least 12 months warranty, some have 3 years, K
