I am currently using SBC Yahoo! DSL and it has been great. Unfortunatly, in a month or so, my parents would like to cancel it because the price is gonna be higher. So since my current ISP will be canceled, I wanna know what ISP i should get. It has to be a RELIABLE DSL provider and the price should be from $25 to $35 a month. And I would like the price to stay at that amount for AT LEAST 6 months if not 1 year or longer. The speeds i am expecting are 1.5 down and 256 up. And i have to be able to cancel it as soon as the price becomes higher. So if anyone knows about a Fast, Reliable DSL provider that fits my expectations, please reply. It would also be great if they were known for good Service, and Tech Support. I was thinking about getting DSL EXTREME, but i am not sure if they have the plan i want.

I think your expectations are unreasonable.

Where do you live? There are only a few DSL providers in each area. Ask your friends what they have. Do they get those speeds for that price?

For those speeds you probably need cable. That will cost about $50/month.

ask your friends what they have. It depends upon what city you live in for the DSL provider. not just what city, but where in the city.

Why DSL? Why not see what kind of cable providers you have around there. I have Grande Communications in Tx and they supply my phone, Internet and cable for a Total cost of $110.00 monthly. ISP is $37.50 with 3.0 speed and no charges for installation. Been with them for 2 years now with only a 4% price increase after the first year. Very stable and dependable service and great support for any problems at all. Never had Internet problems with them. Great company.

Will be very surprised if this string doesn't disappear soon. It has absolutely nothing to do with XP.

Wombat... I was thinking the same thing. Is that sort of responsible behavior even tolerated these days?
