where is the group policy editor?

I want to increase my web surfing speed by changing the default bandwidth reserve used by XP. I found these tips but can't find the gpedit.msc file on my machine...

I found the tips at:http://xptools.tripod.com/gpedit.html

any help?

Mine is in the windows/system32 folder.

I've searched for it "gbedit.msc" and nothing found....looked in windows\ for a system32 folder but nadda...no folder?

Try typing this:
Go to START-RUN and enter "gpedit.msc"
You must have Win XP Pro.
I have done this and there is a noticeable improvement.

No dice though....when I do that I get a message that the file was not found.

I'm using XP home edition

any thoughts?

The group policy editor is only available in xp pro.
