Okay, whenever I try logging into my computer, the start menu and task manager is missing at the bottem, and the problem still happens in safe mode. I KNOW YOU CAN PRESS CTRL ALT DELETE AND THEN CREATE A NEW TASK NAMED EXPLORER, but I am tired of doing that, and I want the REAL fix so it doesn't do that anymore. THANK YOU! As to the disappearing taskbar items, I've suffered this intermittantly for a couple of years and have run System Restore from safemode with command prompt to resolve it.
