Hi,

I have 256Mb of RAM. I summed all the memory used by running processes in Taskmanager and I got 83428Kb used. Where is the 256000 - 83428 = 172572kb ? When my system says I have about 34000Kb free.

Processes are list of CPU Cache not System Memory.

Check the performance tab the upper left box (below the graphs) shows physical memory.

Also if you right click teh My Computer Icon select properties the first list shows CPU speed and Memory.

Don't forget virtual memory/page file/swap space

Virtual Memory = Physical Memory + Swap Space
or something like that

AIDA32 reports I have 490 MB Swap Space .... however, I have save my "page file" to 256 MB.
