Hello,

I have been using XP for about a year now and have only used one user (admin) for everything.

Last week, I blew out my HD, started over from scratch and decided to run with two users, mine and admin.

I know that you are supposed to be able to right click on an icon and select "Run As" and then enter the admins P/W to perform administrative tasks without logging out of my limited user.

Here's the problem. Run As does not show up when I right click (or even Shift-Right Click).

Does anyone know how I can run programs as admin when logged in as a limited user?

Thanks,

Jim

P.S. The Run As DOES show up in the admin's account!?!

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:
SOLUTION A:
I would ask that you perform this action AGAIN when logged in as the "limited user": TRY HOLDING DOWN SHIFT ARROW KEY AND WHILE THE SHIFT ARROW KEY IS STILL DOWN RIGHT CLICK WHATEVER ICON OR SHORTCUT YOU WISH TO RUN OR OPEN.
IF you still dont see the "Run as..." menu option THEN...
SOLUTION B:
Go to the "Command Prompt" (START=>RUN=>Type 'CMD' at RUN Dialog Box=> Press "ENTER"/ Select "OK")
Type "runas" you will see the options for the command. Read them thoroughly and the execute your "long dos command".
